This is an exciting development for Tivo users. I didn't make the leap to digital cable until I got the S3, so I don't miss the VOD funtion. I haven't used the Unbox service. How large are the files?? I have used the MovieLink service as well as CinemaNow and I can usually download my movies in about 20 minutes in most cases. This would be a bigger deal to me, except you can already get HDTV through the series 3 and the download times on those files are supposed to be pretty bad. If there was a way to stream HDTV without spending 6 hours to download the content, then a partnership with Microsoft would make it really hot.
