It’s sad to say, but somehow I’ve seen them all.

I thought The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and Empire of the Sun were both quite good. Did you ever have a chance to see The Royal Tenenbaums? I think the humor in it might be more to your liking then The Life Aquatic or Rushmore might be.
I agree with you on Frequency and Beetlejuice, both fairly forgettable movies, and Chamber of Secrets is by far the worst of the Harry Potter movies to date.

It’s one thing to hate on Macs, but how can you hate on Beetlejuice!

I knew I was asking for trouble by posting this list, but I’ll do my best to defend myself.
Life Aquatic had all the makings to be good. I loved Rushmore and kind of liked the Royal Tenenbaums, but Zissou was just plain flat for me. I didn’t understand what it was about. It just kind of started and ended, if there was a deep meaning tied to the film, I could have appreciated the quirkiness, but the whole thing just seemed to take Bill Murray’s excellent talents and waste it on a movie about nothing. Empire just didn’t cut it for me, even though I can see how others would like it. I’m not a big fan of the Drama genre to begin with and when I saw Empire, I think I was still in high school, so if I went back and watched it now, I might feel differently. At some point I might go back and watch all the Harry Potters, but Chamber of secrets was the first one I saw and it didn’t make me want to go back and see the others.
@Dave - I’m glad you are coming around at how crappy Macs really are, but am distressed to hear that you’ve compensated by finding Beetlejuice enjoyable. Are you feeling alright? You should check your temperature, the movie was terrible. I’m surprised that it was ever popular to begin with, but especially in retrospect. I’ll take Edward Scissorhands, anyday of the week over that screwball film.
