How cool would it be to go back and watch old television series in HD? There is so much great content out there. One of my favorite things about Netflix is watching entire television series. It's something that just wasn't possible 20 years ago. If you can have the same experience in HD, it would be impressive. I'd like to see the technology in action, but the possibilities are exciting.

Fascinating. Maybe those scenes on CSI when they zoom into security camera video and it gets sharper will finally have a basis in reality.

Seriously, if this is real, this could have all kinds of applications, like cleanly upscaling old video content or bringing natural contrast to Keniscope source material. It literally could take the previous 50 years of television source material and make it viable content for HDTV. Very cool.
