I've abandoned landlines and have gone completely cellular. I can't wait for Verizon to arrive with their sweet sweet fiber connections. I don't even care if it's more expensive, I'd switch just to be able to have a different provider. I had fiber at my last apartment and it's amazing. Going back to cable internet has been very depressing. Don’t even get me started on their phone service. I’ve abandoned landlines and have gone completely cellular. Essentially forcing me to switch from something that worked just fine to a service where my phone doesn't ring half the time. I have the phone right in front of me. I wonder why my friend isn't calling me back. I pick up the phone to call them to see what's up. I have a message. My phone never rang. When I retrieve voice mail? I can't skip to the end of the message, and I can't skip past messages I've heard in my saved box. Something I was able to do for years before they switched me. As soon as I have a minute I'm going to switch to AT&T or something. If there was any competition - everyone would switch.
